CHILD SPONSORSHIP

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), 12 million girls are married before the age of 18 each year. This at the cost of their education; health; opportunity and safety.   Our child sponsorship program focuses on enhancing community safety nets for vulnerable and marginalized children through participatory and innovative community processes.

Our model is centered on community resilience to ensure that children have access to affordable education, nutritious food, shelter, health, and savings. We partner with like-minded local and international organizations and community groups for sustained change. Through our partnership with Africa’s Kidz and Bio- Gives/Bio-Gro, we provide access to mentors, skills development, vocational training, livelihoods enhancement, and psychosocial support. By sponsoring a child through ACLAD, their households and community have hope for the future.

Child sponsorship ensures that girls and boys remain in school through the provision of school fees, scholastics materials, nutrition, psychosocial support, shelter, livelihood support, health, water and sanitation, vocational training, coaching, leadership and career mentoring. We currently have 14 children under full sponsorship. This number is expected to double by the end of 2020.
