Dr. Nema Aluku has over 20 years of experience in global health with a focus on technical assistance, program design, implementation and evaluation. She is a social scientist with training in Community Development, Sociology, Public Health and Religiosity. Her research interest is in HIV and AIDS, Adolescent Sexual and Reproductive Health, Gender, Religiosity and culture. Dr Aluku has collaborated on global health projects in Kenya and other sub–Saharan African countries. Throughout her career, she has developed strong networks and collaborations with non-governmental organizations, universities, private hospitals, foundations and community-based groups in order to address public health challenges faced by communities. Dr Aluku serves as the Director, Africa Community Leadership and Development (ACLAD); Research Associate, School of Arts and Social Sciences, Tangaza University, in Nairobi Kenya.
